“SOUL IS SUSPICIOUS”

Alec Shaw is a singer/songwriter and producer raised in the foothills of the cascades in Washington State. You can feel how he resonates with the devine and spiritual emotions that music can carry through a space, presented in a timeless blend of gospel and Appalachian folk. A voice that bridges a gap between Otis Redding and Jeff Buckley presented on engaging and ethereal arrangements.

Quantity Alec’s fourth studio album  Features Alec’s most creative and dramatic work yet. Released in 2022 Quantity along with a live video version of the single “Spinning” landed Alec and his band an in studio taping with KEXP that showcased his raw talent and power as a live vocalist and performer. Alec’s introspective music reached new depths with his latest single “Don’t Waste Your Love On Me” painting a picture of his loneliness and loss which he says allowed him to “love deeper and connect with people on a new level of empathy” praised by legendary artists such as Damian Jurado for it’s timeless sound. “Don’t Waste Your Love On Me” feels like it belongs in the American Song Book. A classic ballad from the first note.
